Ina tchankamuffin' styleeeee
IceTCool, a reggae singer with a unique style and sound that has rocked fans the world over is to perform LIVE for the first time at Passing Clouds. The creator of tchankamuffin stylee, whose name arose thanks to Liberate Nelson Mandela, a hit song he released with the help of Alpha Blondy’s producer and marketed by EMI Records will be backed by the famous Afrospot Band. The major theme that cuts across Cool’s music is the fulfillment of mankind. The musician turned journalist and publisher has won several prizes including an award from RTI as the best reggae artist of the year in Ivory Coast a few years back following a ‘Craven’ sponsored Reggae Night at Treichville’s Palais des sports.
Active as a collaborative artist as well, IceTCool has shared the stage with some top names in the music field including the famous Alpha Blondy, the legendary Burning Spear, the notorious band The Wailers, the late superstar Lucky Dube, the renowned Tiken Jah Facoly, Baaba Maal, Amy Koïta... to name but few
His tchankamuffin’ stylee is IceTCool’s own brand of music. It is a cocktail of conscious lyrics with a background of revolutionary hypnotic rhythm, bass & percussion inspired by African traditional music.
